“We were looking for a light supper and had heard the Green Man was good. Unfortunately, they had a large function that evening and had a very restricted ( though delicious sounding) menu; more than we wanted. They bent over backwards to accommodate us, despite how busy they were, producing two delicious platters of smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, and poached eggs on lovely sourdough. We were delighted, and would return at another day to enjoy their full menu. Customer service at its best. A fine selection of wines, beers and spirits too..”

A great range of beers and spirits are available, the atmosphere is relaxed, the decor is quirky and the food is excellent. Eaten there a few times and never been disappointed. The fish dishes are very good and the presentation is well done. Treat yourself to a pud or a cocktail, both worth a little extra.”

“Straight out of Everyman cinema and straight into this lovely pub. Most of the tables were reserved but we found a cosy table. The staff were friendly and took our order promptly. The fish and chips that arrived were truly delicious. Crispy white fish in perfect batter, buttery peas and a good pile of chunky chips. Probably one of the best pub fish dinners I have ever had and I plan to return in the near future. Great surroundings too.”
